Whirlwinds of emotions beckon your attention. You rather not bother, because feeling nothing is so much easier. A life full of easy is not interesting, but is so very appealing when the thoughts may be painful. Doesn’t pain make you feel alive? or so alive you rather not feel? Sorting through the debris and baggage is a daunting task and is as draining as an actual physical expunge. The future is alway unclear like a windshield wiping smears of dust and mud. But one thing is certain that nothing worth fighting for is ever too easy, and often a challenge. I always used to think that mediocrity is a good starting point. It leaves room for improvement and is way better than the lowest of lows.
I’ve learned to embrace mediocrity knowing that life challenges can be so scary, disturbing and painful that sitting quietly holding on to something pleasant, can be such a safe harbor protecting us from the storms, ebbs and flow of this ride called life.
I hope you can find your safe place and your pleasant focus, so you can find clarity in the messy whirlwind blowing inside your mind.
